Between Us: An Interactive Talk on Women's Pelvic Health

On January 30, 2024, the Women’s Society hosted the third event in the newly relaunched women's health lecture series, Between Us (formerly known as What the Health).

The stats don't lie: approximately 23% of women experience at least one form of pelvic floor disorder, which increases incrementally with age.

These conditions also increase significantly for women who have given birth; for example, pelvic organ prolapse will affect 50% of women who have had children in their lifetime, occurring right after childbirth or many years later.

In a candid conversation during this Between Us lecture, Dr. May Sanaee shared her urogynecology insight and expertise, arming attendees with the knowledge they need to advocate for their own pelvic health or the pelvic health of someone they know and love.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Alberta Blue Cross for making this lecture possible.
