Between Us: An Interactive Talk on Infertility
On November 23rd, 2023, the Women’s Society hosted the second event in the newly relaunched women's health lecture series, Between Us (formerly known as What the Health).
This intimate and honest conversation about infertility featured presentations by Dr. Ariana Daniel from the Alberta Reproductive Centre and registered psychologist Caroline E. Andersen.
Despite an estimated 1 in 6 Canadians being affected by infertility in their lifetime, the topic of sexual and reproductive health remains 'taboo' and there is a certain level of stigma associated with infertility.
Our Between Us lecture helped to break down the stigma and opened the door for important conversations in a Q&A.
Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Alberta Blue Cross for making this lecture possible.
