Celebrating the Achievements of CAC Hockey Loves Moms

On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, an event was held to celebrate the ongoing contributions and accomplishments of the Canadian Athletic Club (CAC) Women’s Community Society, who raised nearly $16,000 for the Lois Hole Hospital Women’s Society in 2023.

Formed in 2021 when a remarkable group of women came together, the CAC Women’s Community Society began as a way to recognize the invaluable contributions of moms and special women within the hockey community. From the essential tasks of chauffeuring kids to providing unwavering support and nourishment, these dedicated women play a pivotal role in shaping young athletes both on and off the ice.

In a brief time, they grew beyond just making an impact in the hockey community, as they chose to begin fundraising for the Lois Hole Hospital Women’s Society. Through the efforts of their members running events like holiday markets, suit sales, and a series of hockey games, the CAC Women’s Community Society has now contributed over $38,000 to the Lois Hole in just three seasons.

Our deepest gratitude extends to the CAC Women’s Community Society for their continued support for women’s health initiatives at the Lois Hole Hospital and for their invaluable contributions as moms that build strength in community.
